4 strategies for building hybrid work that works

All indications are that the future of work is hybrid, if it's not here already.

Most US workers prefer a mix of working from home and at an office. They say it positively impacts their ability to be creative, solve problems and build relationships. As a result, the majority (72%) of corporate leaders plan to offer a hybrid model.

Offering hybrid working is easy, but getting the hybrid right will be hard.

A recent Harvard Business Review article — authored by architects and office designers, including Todd Heiser, a Gensler Design Principal — presented four innovative strategies for building future hybrid working that works.

In an Ask HBR webinar, Heiser and Steelcase CEO Sara Armbruster will discuss these strategies for building hybrid working of the future. They'll dissect and explain these design strategies:

  • Braid the digital and physical experience
  • Flip enclosed and open spaces
  • Shift from fixed to fluid
  • Balance “we” and “me” work
